Acer may be developing a frameless laptop with touchscreen keyboard
According to Digitimes, Acer is working on a new ultraportable laptop with a touch keyboard. In addition, the sytem will use the back of the panel's glass substrate as the cover. As some sources from notebook makers in Taiwan claim, the system will be officially announced in 2H 2010.

Digitimes also reports that Acer is expected to adopt Corning's reinforced glass substrate and simply print color on its back to allow the substrate to function like a cover for a frameless design. The design will help reduce the thickness of the system and slash material costs. Thanks to the touch keyboard, the laptop will be thinner than most of current models. It's quite possible that the system will look like the frameless-screen protopype, the Frame Zero, which is developed by Fujitsu (pictured).
